About The Karate Twins
Hello, welcome to our website! My name is Abigail, and My sister Rebekah and I are the proud owners of this website. On this page, you will find out how we started karate.
We started karate four years ago in 2020. We were 19, and when we went to the first class, we were unsure what to expect. Yes, we were a little nervous!
We wondered if we would be able to pass that first level. We thought Rebekah and I might stay a white belt forever and do awful in classes. Maybe the teacher would hate both of us if we messed up. But our current level, orange and green belt, proves that you can quickly move up in the ranks by working hard.
We started a month before the world shut down (in other words, Covid hit). Was it easy for us? No! We did most of our classes over Zoom. However, our internet connection sometimes didn’t hold, and our video lessons ended abruptly. When that happened, I (Abigail) was not at all happy. I cried because we couldn’t do karate, and Rebekah was laughing away.
Rebekah still laughs to this day about thinking back to that day.
Our teacher was wonderful to my sister and me during those hard times practicing. He was always there for us when we needed him the most. He encouraged us, corrected us, and trained us to excel. To this day, he is still a wonderful friend of ours.
Rebekah and I are so happy to have learned from many of our friends in the karate world, including from the masters!
